For 2020 I decided to keep a list of all the films I watched. This wasn’t to push myself to watch an excessive amount of films, instead I wanted to remember what I had watched throughout the year and maybe spend a little more time selecting films I wouldn’t normally gravitate towards. My film viewing slowed down at points but I still totalled 83 films, with Uncut Gems and Parasite getting two watches bringing the list up to 85.
These are only those I remembered to note down, so with a little bit of regret I forgot to add some spectacular b-movie watches on SYFY, Horror and elsewhere. Like the one where the good and bad guys are all reincarnated from ancient China to present day L.A. and ended up fighting downtown with armies of CGI dinosaurs.
I started off keeping review notes and personal diary-like comments for each film, but this dwindled out as the year went on. Remember when cinemas were a thing?:
Here’s the list with links to Wikipedia or IMDB for each movie. I would recommend pretty much every one of these for different reasons (except The Whalebone Box which is entirely missable and Monster Trucks is a big budget set on fire), so if you see a title you haven’t watched before maybe find a copy and start your own list for 2021…
